<p>Actually, it might be the opposite. Merit money is often used as an incentive to get people to choose a school. ED students are already committed.</p>
<p>I agree with the above. If I were a college I would not give merit money to an ED applicant because he is already committed. Instead I would use the money to entice on the fence students.</p>
