Do I actually have to pay?

I SIR'ed to Berkeley. I then changed my mind and SIR'ed to UCLA, canceling Berkeley's SIR. I agreed to a $100 nonrefundable deposit to SIR to Berkeley. It was a delayed payment, so I haven't actually paid them anything. I don't want to pay. What's the worse that could happen to me?

I really wouldn’t mess around with that sort of thing within the same system.

Call the Berkeley admissions office and ask. The answer may be, “It happens all the time - don’t worry about it.” Or they could tell you that it will prevent you from registering for classes at UCLA. Call them and ask.

You signed a contract with the SIR. You owe the money.
