chance me please?

What’s an 89.2 like on a 4.0 scale? Slightly below 3.5? Your ECs and other stats are probably above average, you would definitely be competitive for mid tier programs at the least if it weren’t for the GPA. I think you still have a shot because your HS is well known, your test scores show that you’re a strong student, and you have a good amount of medical ECs. But some programs might instantly ignore your app when they see the GPA.

I think it’s about a 3.5 and what kind of programs are considered mid-tier?

bump chance me pleasee

i think you will get one or two interviews maximum. your GPA is honestly weak. your competition will have near-perfect GPAs because it’s ez to get a high GPA compared to a high SAT.

that being said, your SAT score is great and is the main strength of your app.

your ECs are very standard and boring and your medical experience is decent.

just write nice essays and you will have a shot at a few of the programs. i had a 2350 and it carried me to 2 interviews (had only a good GPA and nothing else). make sure you exaggerate your medical experience to the max. they want to see that you have a clear idea of what you are getting into. this is the main thing i would stress given my experience with the process. you have to show interviewers that you know what medicine is like through your volunteer/paid work.

also, elaborate on your research experience as much as you can. not many high school students do research.

good luck.
