Do i have chance???

i really don't know, ur scores are very nice. what are your ecs? (dont worry itll just make it easier to judge)

I think it's almost impossible not to weight some GPAs because of certain schools. Mine for example has major deflation compared to most. There are AP classes where the average is actually a C, the way it is "supposed" to be and only 10% of kids get A's in some others. This dramatically brings down GPAs and I've never heard of kids from my school (including ones that have gone to HYPS and every other top 20 school) say anything other than weighted GPAs due to this.

Your scores are great though.

what a silly question. you have much more than a chance, provided you did some extracurriculars.

I am worried about my hs grades as well. My ecs and sat (2170) and sat IIs (700+) and recs are very decent, IMHO....however, my gpa is another story. I too have a 3.1/3.2 unweighted but a 3.9 weighted (NOT included college courses i have taken). I hear junior year is very important but that was the year (the ONLY year) that i had received C's....7 of them total. I really don't have a valid "excuse" and I certainly can't write georgetown a letter saying that my teachers were hard graders! haha... but seroiusly, I got a C in Calc AB both semester but got a 5 on the AP exam....similar situation with my other classes, AP 4's or IB 5's. My school is ranked #21 from USA Today for top public hs in America.....however, due to my immense number of C's junior year (despite the fact I was taking the most rigorous curriculum available), would I even have a chance at georgetown? =/ thanks ~

could someone plz post their opinion? ^ thanks =)

the Cs are going to hurt a lot. One of my best friends got rejected from COL and he took hard classes (AP Spanish, English, Physics, Calc BC, etc) and never got a B in his life...and he was EIC of our yearbook (which is the pride of the school) for two years.

the fact that you took the most rigious curriculum is expected...many kids here do it and get straight A's, and that's what you're being compared to

But I know other people who were meh and got in, so just apply, you have nothing to lose really but some time and $50 bucks.

heh....alright, thanks for your input! =)
