Do I have a chance at Penn? What should I change?

Yes, you do have a chance. If you are able to, I’d suggest retaking the SAT or trying out the ACT, but your score is fine already. Make sure you take SAT Subject Tests, too. Make sure you get strong letters of recommendation. Other than that, there’s not much left to your app other than your essays and interview. I was not an outstanding applicant in any way really, but I believe that my strong essays and my alumni interview were two huge factors that got me into Penn. College admissions are a crapshoot, so there’s no guarantee you’ll get in. However, I do believe you have a decent chance at becoming a Quaker. Good luck!

Thank you so much for replying! I wasn’t sure if I had a chance because I’ve gotten B’s, but now I have hope. I’m going to retake the SAT soon and I’m registered for the history and math subject tests.
