  • I applied for summer 2018 in the Journalism and Communications - Journalism, program.

Here are my credentials:

  • 3.6 weighted

Apart of these Clubs/Activities:

  • Red Cross Club - Founder and President
  • Yearbook - Section Editor
  • Rho Kappa - Treasurer
  • National Art Honor Society
  • Kappa Alpha Omicron Honor Society
  • National Beta Club Honor Society
  • Key Club

Job:

  • Sales Associate at Local Mall

Your academics are extremely low compared to the profile of an average student accepted last year (4.3-4.6 UF GPA, 1280+ SAT). That being said, I think your ECs are excellent (3 leadership positions), and that job experience and first-generation college may also help you.

I say UF is most definitely a reach due to your grades/test scores, but with holistic admissions, I think you still have a chance of getting in thanks to the other parts of your application being stellar.

UF’s coursework is challenging.
