Hey, Everyone!
I am a freshman at George Washington University, and it really has not been my cup of tea here. I am looking to transfer to a school with a stronger liberal arts program (particularly stronger curriculum in English and Psychology, my double major). I make this very clear in my application essays; my goal is to become a clinical psychologist. I make this I have a 4.0 GPA and am a member of the University Honors Program (with about a 5% acceptance rate). I take honors courses and many courses pertaining to my majors. I work for the UHP, volunteer at the Washington Humane Society and DC Reads (a program that tutors struggling inner city kids), and am an intern for the National Alliance on Mental Illness. My SAT scores were about a 1900 and I was 3rd in my class during high school with a 4.7 GPA (weighted). I was vice president of National Honor Society, Captain of the Drama Club, and played the clarinet in band for about 10 years. I have really strong recommendations from the professors of the English and Honors Departments.
Right now, I have applied to 12 schools: Brown, Bowdoin, Columbia, Dartmouth College, Tufts, Northeastern, NYU, Holy Cross, Boston College, Williams, and Amherst.
Anybody have any idea how the results will turn out? I am really anxious and am really excited to transfer back to the Northeast!
Thanks!
