<p>Intended major: Civil Engineering</p>

<p>GPA:
UW 3.75
W: 4.13</p>

<p>I sort of messed up since I didn't take any honors or AP classes my freshman or sophomore year due to home and family problems . I really slacked off my freshman year, but became a lot more serious and became more dedicated to my studies starting my soph year.</p>

<p>Took AP Stats and AP Environmental Science this May, but couldn't take AP Psych for financial reasons.</p>

Peer Assistance Learning Program (Help mentor elementary students) : 2 years</p>

<p>I'm currently working on a large independent movie project this summer for a local film festivle.</p>

<p>Awards :
Algebra 2 Student of the Year
Attending the 2013 Southwest Youth Leadership Conference this summer at Texas A&M (only 4 students in my class out of 400 were chosen to attend).</p>

<p>Over 125 volunteer hours.</p>

<p>I worked at a restaurant during the summer after my sophomore year.</p>

<p>I have currently been running a successful YouTube channel were I have been making reasonable revenue since 2010 (And yes it is appropriate content :P )</p>

<p>Meh…I would say it’s a very high reach.
Don’t bank on it, especially for engineering.
However…anything can happen! You’re actually not that far off everything just needs to be a bit better

<p>Looking at your gpa, you’re in, but it seems really inflated. Im assuming your honor classes give u a 5 for an A. But u are 75% in. If u can improve anything, it would be EC’s EC’s cuz it’s not very impressive</p>

<p>No, my GPA is not inflated… i’ve just gotten mostly A’s the past two years. And even though I don’t have many EC’s, I do spend a big chunk of my time in them.</p>

<p>I think your EC’s look good and some such as your youtube channel and working with kids are unusual, which can only look real good. I think your shots are decent. I hope you are also looking at Texas and Texas A&M, both of whom have or at least had last I knew great engineering programs. Given the cost of USC, unless you qualify for a lot of need based aid, I really think the 2 Texas schools make more sense. Certainly apply to USC but you are lucky to have 2 excellent affordable state programs too.</p>
