My top choice is NYU but I would like to consider stony brook as an option as well.

I think you will get a good scholarship from Stonybrook. My friend who got around 1900 got half scholarship tuition. My friends with 2100+ SAT got full scholarship.

But was their gpa high? And did they get anything for room and board?

Bump and do you think I can make honors college for stony brook

their GPA is in the high range. Im not sure about room and board but they will give you enough scholarship to cover tuition and fees. There are 3 special programs at Stony… 1. university scholars, 2. WISE and 3. honors college. They are all equally as hard to get in. WISE if for women though. You can try for university scholars or honors college. You seem like a decent candidate if you keep up with your GPA and score higher on the SAT
