Do I have to send in AP scores as a transfer?

My CCC lost my AP scores, and I feel that at this point, I’d rather just apply to the UCs without inputting that I even took the tests in the first place. From my understanding, there’s no policy against not sending them, but I’m not sure if this applies to transfers. Further, if I send my scores to my current school, one of my English classes will be replaced with the score, lowering my GPA; however, my counselor informed me that my CCC has no policy that I must send my scores in to them. She also informed me that my English score would replace two of my English classes (where I received As) if I were to apply to Davis because Davis gives credit for two English classes with the AP score, but I think she’s wrong about this. She doesn’t really seem to know what she’s doing.

Are you going to have enough units without them?

Yes. I have 42 units without any scores applied. The scores can only hurt me at this point.

No, you do not need to.

I believe you need to when you send in official transcripts, but for the basis of your application, you do not need to unless you choose to do so.

What I meant is whether I need to self-report them at all. Can I just ignore them and pretend I never even took them?

In other words, can I leave the exam section blank on the common app and also not send in the actual scores at all? Please note that not even my current school has my scores on file.

…the common app?

You need to list them all or you could later get rescinded. The CCC has nothing to do with AP scores. You list ALL of them in the application, even scores of 1 and 2, and then the CollegeBoard sends them in, not the CCC. You request them.

Do not leave them off. That is not accurate information.

And BTW, AP scores never hurt an applicant, even scores of 1. They don’t care and at least it shows you were in an accelerated program.
