Hey guys, I’m currently a junior in high school. And I just wanted to know if I’m on track to have a chance at going to an Ivy League School? So I’m basically about to post my high school resume lol, thanks in advance to anyone who actually takes the time to respond, or even read, this.
- 4.47 Weighted GPA (Got all A's in freshman and sophomore year. Currently in junior year have 3 B's and 4 A's. Taking 3 AP Classes - APES, APENG, APUSH. Plan to take pretty rigorous courses in senior year as well).
- Member of National Honor Society.
- Have been playing competitive badminton for the past 6-7 years. Feel like this makes me unique as many people don't play badminton in the U.S. Have won several adult tournaments nationally (DC Open, Mid-Atlantic Open, etc.). Have also won many junior tournaments and have been selected in the Junior International Trials to go to the Junior Pan American games the summer before my freshman year. Won at the Junior Pan American games as well. I am still currently continuing to play badminton and winning tournaments. I have been ranked as high as #3 in the U.S for mixed doubles and #6 in the U.S for women's singles in the adult categories.
- Have done volunteer work for around 100 hours so far (helping at local badminton tournaments, coaching kids, volunteering at my local library, and helping with Habitat for Humanity). And I will continue to do more.
- Have not taken the SAT yet, but I am this Saturday! January 24th! Cross your fingers for me guys!
- I have also not taken the ACT yet, but plan to in the Spring. I am also planning to take 2 SAT Subject tests in October of this year. And I haven't taken any AP Exams yet, but will this May.
I think that’s about it guys! I know there’s bunches of kids out there with way more extracurriculars and greater accomplishments than me, but all I want to know is if I have a shot? Thanks for reading!
