Do I need to be MARRIED for housing?

So, I have a girlfriend and she is willing to relocate with me if I end up in another state for grad school. My question is: can she live with me in on-campus housing? Or must I be set up with another student? is the only way to get her to live with me is to tell them that we are married? If we are engaged, does that work too? I'm so confused!!

I'm in a similar predicament. Anyone know?

Most housing applications I've seen allow a "committed relationship". This might include records of a shared bank account, co-titling a car, etc. Just check out your prospective school's family housing website/application.

It depends on the school, but my husband and I lived in married student housing before were were engaged. As Joe says above, we had to submit proof of a joint bank account.

Great, thanks! this really does relieve a lot of the stress, haha...
