Do I need to buy sheets if I have a mattress pad?

I just bought a towel/blanket/pillow package deal and an egg crate foam was included. It better be good entire thing cost my family $169.99 =(.

Man, I had to buy everything myself including the fridge.

TheMan777-Did you keep the receipt? Return. You can do better shopping.

TheMan777- Yeah, that’s really expensive! I just got that 11-piece deal from BB&B for 79.99. It doesn’t include foam, but it does include a hamper, 2 towels, a dry erase board, a blanket/throw, a pillow, along with the comforter and sheets.

I got the dorm in a bag from Target for 59.99. No pad or foam, but has pillow, comforter, sheets, sham, pillowcase, laundry bag, and 6 towels.

My memory foam topper saved me last year.

as a side note, make sure you know what size your bed will be to avoid any issues once you get to campus

I just sent in all the forms! ARGGGG!!! They got me hook, line, and sinker! The special deal looked good to my parents, shoulda consulted the boards first. Its that school linen thing…

Says here comes with:
2 extra long fitted sheets
2 extra long flat sheets
4 standard pillow cases
2 extra fluffy machine washable pillows
1 extra long reversible comforter
1 extra long qui;ted mattress pad
1 extra long egg crate pad
2 bath towels
2 hand towels
2 wash cloths
1 hamper
1 bedside buddy

TheMan, are you going to UNC? I think that package was in their catalog…

Are there cheap memory foam toppers out there? The lowest price I have seen is $40.

Nope I am going to BU, but that linen catalog seems to be offered at EVERY university, I got one just like it from Rutgers (paid the advance for housing)

Please tell me you didn’t actually buy anything from that linen catalog.

The quality of sheets they provide are horrible. They’re thin and scratchy, and overall uncomfortable. They also get holes in them easily. I guess the easiest comparison are those thin sheets on hospital beds.

=/ thanks for making me feel better dude…

I don’t know - can my parents cancel the order now? I thought it would be high quality, but man this sucks.

yeah, they’re quality is pretty notorious for being really really bad
call and try to cancel, or return it after receiving it. most companies will let you return within a certain timeframe.

OK thank you, hopefully this gets settled out. In the meanwhile, any other package deals for college at BB&B? Searched a lil and didn’t see anything.

Did you visit the store? They still had the 11 piece $79.99 deal when I went last week. And I also saw a 14 piece package, but I don’t recall the cost.

No I wanted to see the deal online before I had to actually… leave my computer XD

had a “nice” egg crate and it killed my back. the hard matress was more comfy then the egg crate so get a memory foam

Target has dorm linens featured this week. If you shop at Marshall’s or TJ Max they have great dorm bed stuff-even masculine stuff from Nautica, Ralph Lauren, blah, blah, blah.

To those who love memory foam: I have heard complaints that it causes the sleeper to retain body heat. Would a thick pillow top mattress pad be better for an un-air conditioned dorm room?

I was in un-airconditioned dorms for two years with memory foam and never had a problem with retained heat.

I second the “where to get cheap memory foam?” question. The cheapest one I saw was for about $20 at Target, but then I heard it isn’t very good.
