I have many extracurriculars, but not really a certain sport. I coach a soccer team, and volunteer (coach/ref) with a soccer program a lot, but I do not actually play for a high school or club team. I know that there is no formula for college apps, but is this necessary?
Thanks

If you plan on applying to one of the service academies, it’s a great benefit. Otherwise, your GPA and test scores are much more important than any other factor.

I have a friend whose daughter got into CMU despite the fact she didn’t play any sport, no ECs and wasn’t active in school activities. The daughter had a high GPA though and I presume she must have gotten extremely high SAT scores and remarkable volunteer activities.

Thanks!
I also don’t plan on applying to a service academy
