Do I need to take Chemistry to get into college?

I'm a Junior and I want to take AP biology instead of chemistry (it would be an online course either way, so it's not too late to start.) I'm on track to graduate early this year, so I don't want to take AP Bio this year and Chemistry next year, or the other way around. If it helps, I already took the SAT, I got a high score and my grades are high, etc.

Next fall I want to apply to schools in California, a few schools on the east coast and some schools in the UK. If it's essential to take chemistry, I will. I really just want to take AP biology instead. Do I need to take chem?

no clue, but based on my college search, there are few schools that require a certain class to be taken except maybe like some math classes (pre calc) or something.

The most competitive applications will have Biology, Chemistry and Physics, but no one class is “required.” You will be better off if you have two of the three core lab sciences, but again, it is not required. If your only sciences are Biology and AP Biology, you will not be as competitive.
