I'm auditioning for admission into the Bienen school of music, along with WCAS. Should I send a recording so the WCAS can listen to them, and possibly give the music admissions another chance to listen to me?

Are you applying early? If so, you need to email Bienen AFTER you have submitted your application but BEFORE November 1st--that's to set up an audition at NU, or you can send in a CD. But don't trust ME! If you haven't already done so, go to the link below and download "2009 Undergraduate Admissions and Audition Information." The website isn't 100% clear, but the documents that you download about the process itself are easy to understand. If you are applying regular decision, NU holds auditions around the country and on campus--the dates are all set and in that document I mentioned--or you may send in a CD. It's always good to go to NU as you get to experience the place and you are showing more interest, or so I've been told, but that said, my son is a freshman at Bienen (voice) and applied regular decision after auditioning in NYC. I know, I know, it's easier for guys!

When in doubt, call or email the admissions office, of course. Don't count on CC for 100% accuracy, although it's been hugely helpful to us. Much luck to you.
