Do law students ever have fun?

cough Language Pledge cough

Has anyone ever been expelled for a violation of the Language Pledge?

Yes.

****ing stupid.

Also, no matter how laid-back or ultra-competitive a school's reputation is, your own experience there will depend on how you handle stress and what you hope to get out of law school. sure, things like how many classes you take each semester, access to counseling, extracurricular activities (alcohol-centered and not), whether employers can choose who they interview based on class rank, what percentage of journal decisions are based on gpa v. writing sample, how many classes you can take pass/fail, etc. make a HUGE difference in the law school atmosphere.

but i'm aware of students at schools with very competitive reputations who take a 'club med' approach to law school and end up happy and with great jobs. i also know that a student at a t14 school known for being quite laid-back committed suicide last year after first-semester grades came out.

it's more about the student than the school.
