Do parents being a part of college faculty really play a part in college admission?

My mom is a assistant professor at WUSTL. I really want to go there but my SAT scores are kind of holding me back. I know that I get tuition assistance if I attend, but does her working at WUSTL play an instrumental role in my admittance??

She should be able to answer this question.;)

i don’t think it plays a HUGE factor but it certainly helps.
if your SAT scores fit in the average range for wash u, then i think you’ll be fine.

I’m sure it varies by school, but at some colleges being a facbrat is one of the best hooks you can have.

Agree with above ^ post. My mom once told me that her dad (my grandfather) worked at the college she went to. When she was a high school senior, Grandpa told her that they’d admit her since he worked there, but whether they kept her or not would be up to her! :)

Good luck!
