<p>Getting ready to file FAFSA this week and thought I read something somewhere that parents will need to file their own FAFSA if wanting to obtain a DirectPLUS loan. That's what I've been getting for the past 3 years so I'm just going to stick with that. I don't understand why I would need to file my own since all my info is on my son's FAFSA.</p>
<p>Does anyone know if I'll need to file another form for myself.</p>

<p>Thank you for the quick reply. I’ve filled out the form, am going back in tonight since taxes were just finished. I’m not sure what the bunch more stuff is, though - can you elaborate a bit?</p>
<p>well there probably isn’t more, since you have already been getting PLUS loans?</p>
<p>When you first apply, you have to fill out the stuff that says you understand you have to pay it back :rolleyes:, but not sure if that has to be done every year.</p>
