Do Scholarships affect F.A?

Hello,

So i applied to my backup university that I want to go to if i do not get enough F.A from my primary university. I received a merit scholarship that basically covers all my tutition expenses. However, the housing costs are still there and i was wondering if I could still get grants like the Pell. I am asking this because i am a low income student and having to pay extremely little for my undergrad would attract me to my backup university.

I have not filed FAFSA yet but i assume my EFC will be pretty low so i was just wondering how the F.A would work along with my merit scholarship.

Thanks

Pell is an entitlement. If you qualify, you get it no matter what.

However, depending on the school, the scholarship, Pell, and a student loan may be all that you get.

What school is this? What is your home state? Does your state give aid?
