I have a Chem lecture at young hall and then have a ge cluster discussion at covel commons ten minutes after my Chem lecture. Is it even possible for me to make it to covel commons from young hall in 10 minutes?? And would it be looked down upon if I’m late to my discussion because I’m nervous about making a bad impression.
Speak with the ta and explain your situation. Everything has a solution.
Most professors/TAs are very understanding if you bring up any issues at the start of the semester. Don’t just hope that he or she will not notice and ignore the situation. If you’re honest and bring it up ASAP, he or she will most likely understand.
@collegeiscrazy ugh noo don’t do ge clusters they’re awful!!
But everyone is right just talk to your TA the first day and tell him/her your situation. They’ll be understanding I’m sure of it
@pleaseacceptme99 wait what’s wrong with ge clusters?
Actually what is GE clusters? How is it different from a GE class?
In my experience, Chem TAs generally don’t care whether you’re late or leave early lol. I would try and sit in the back though so that I won’t make a fuss.
Definitely talk to your TA the first time you get a chance, or email them. Tons of students have that problem where they can’t get from campus to the hill for classes in ten minutes, so maybe your TA already understands, or has already heard from several other students. As long as you talk to your TA you should be able to work something out.
@StammyWammy oh actually I’m worried about being late to my discussion for the ge cluster. I have a chem lecture that ends ten minutes before the ge cluster discussion begins.
