Wow, you’re really going to make me do this? Fine, I accept your research challenge. (note also that my point included that most mothers are so because of consensual action)

^^^^ How can you even resort to comparing pregnant women and male soldiers? The two aren’t even remotely correlated.

I think men do have it easier in a lot of ways.

Then again, I have a lot of medical problems that would be impossible for males to have, so I guess I’m biased.

I’m generally a very happy person.

I can assume both masculine and feminine roles quite easily, which would not be quite as socially possible if I was biologically male.

Why can’t everyone just agree that humans have to struggle a lot in life, regardless of gender?

^ Because that’s not the point of this thread. :D

^^ Not until you admit that the number of women who die in birth in the US have absolutely nothing to do with the number of US soldiers that die in combat as the previous has to do with medical reasons and the latter has to do with, well, guns, bombs, and violence. You’re basically comparing a ****ing kangaroo to a fish.

And yes, with regards to LaTina, that doing so would unduly violate the point of the thread.

Why can’t everyone just get along? because then lawyers, policemen, soldiers, and strippers wouldn’t exist. continue arguing :D

It’s totally easier being a guy. For example, I have a buzz cut and it take me about 10 seconds to “do my hair.” And by doing my hair, I mean drying it off after taking a shower.

First off, show me proof that that first is true.

Secondly, yes both parents are equal in producing the child- but the father has no physical responsibility for said pregnancy. He does not have to carry the child for 4.5 months, nor does he have to squirt half of a watermelon out of a crevice in his body. He is physically able to walk away (although not financially, thanks to the courts… even though deadbeat dads are rampant).

And no, the person drafted is not blamed for being drafted. But it is his choice for remaining in a country that has a draft. He is free to move, just as males and females are free to not have sex that would result in a pregnancy.

To say that men and women are equally involved in a pregnancy is just hilarious. And so wrong in so many ways.

Not really, I could just answer no to the question.

Doesn’t have anything to do with it. They were just two separate things, one on each “side”. Okay, I “admitted” what I meant. Will someone else “admit” that people in general have it tough?

^^^ Further proof of why girls have it worse.

It takes me half an hour just to wash my hair, another hour to dry it with the blowdryer granted if I have time. Believe me, it’s not fun hanging your head down and staring at your naked breasts in the shower just lathering your hair with soap and rinsing it out every single day.

Girls can’t even have short hair without being accused of pulling a Britney Spears or Emma Watson as well.

Hahahaha. Though there would be so much wrong with this, biologically and functionally, that would probably ensure the most responsible use of reproduction, if both partners had a physical stake in it.

@romani Squirt? More like having to **** out, with much constipation.

But, then again, doesn’t the mother usually have a closer bond with the children? And gets to spend more time with the children, which is probably a plus.

I guess I didn’t respond to the topic. Still confused about that one comment though… Any girl want to give me an answer there?

The way I see it, the biggest advantage to being a female is that you are far far less likely to be convicted of a violent felony if you commit one, than a male. This is especially true if you’re a pretty female. Thankfully this isn’t taken advantage of nearly as much as could be.

Females also have a “sexual power” over males, and are generally the ones who get to be sexually selective. Kind of the obvious advantage there.

Females have a number of biological hassles (put mildly), which is the obvious disadvantage.

To be “sexually competitive” (term I made up to refer to comparative attractiveness) females must spend more effort improving their appearance.

I think most of the other things said here are unimportant, and not really worth considering.

Personally, I prefer being male. But I bet if I were female I’d prefer being female.

@BillyMC Only after the year-long postpartum depression.

Nope. Look at all those arrests of those teachers who got it on with their students. They were both female and hot but weren’t exempt from the law.

“Females also have a “sexual power” over males, and are generally the ones who get to be sexually selective. Kind of the obvious advantage there.”

Nope. R@pes.

“Females have a number of biological hassles (put mildly), which is the obvious disadvantage.”

Yes.

“To be “sexually competitive” (term I made up to refer to comparative attractiveness) females must spend more effort improving their appearance.”

Another hassle.

Plus, sometimes the women don’t have a choice.

There are negatives and positives associated with both genders though.

What…?

My point was that both partners are NOT responsible for a pregnancy. That is solely the mother’s problem. Yes, it takes two to tango, but it only takes the mom to bring that child to term. The dad gets off scot-free.

And as for the hair, it’s a personal choice. You don’t HAVE to spend x amount of time doing your hair. I used to have hair down to my waist (got 14" chopped off yesterday), and all I did was wash it and brush it really quick in the car. I don’t even own a hair dryer, curling iron, straightener, etc.

Right… I was going just by consensual sex. Should have clarified :).

They received lesser prison times than male teachers who had sex with underage girls. There is a double standard in this, but I suppose it has something to do with the psychology of the action.

Dude, romani, that’s gross. The oil and dirt that builds up in long hair is incredible. You have to wash it everyday no matter what because it keeps your scalp and hair healthy. And a girl can only get so many haircuts a year.
