You scored a 36 on the ACT...they only reject 25% of perfect SAT scorers...I think you'll be fine.

I'm just trying to forget about it because, really there is nothing i can posssibly do about it now. I'm not succeeding.

Definitely not working for me either. But at least finals are temporarily taking my mind off the inevitable.

Jeez...This is the most pathetic and sad group of people that I have run into in a long time (if it is a representation of the incoming freshman class it won't be a good experience at all !) It is key to be realistic and although being optimistic may not be easy, one should try really hard. It has been said many times that the most important thing that a competitive student can do is to "portrait himself the best he can in the application". The letters of rec, ECs and interview are the only way that the adcoms have of getting to know you more personally (beyond the cold numbers). If your outlook on life is as pathetic, sad and full of insecurity as some of you sound to have, this is very likely to show somewhere! (your letters of rec may not have the intensity they require because you are not seen as...etc)

We can not go through life expecting the worst all the time, just because otherwise we would be disappointed!!. We are all extremely lucky to at least be able to consider these competitive colleges. Let's get a little bit more positive for the RD apps. We are all way to young to be heading this early to psychotherapy!

I think I have a good chance, regardless of my terrible scores. Other than that, I am the person they are looking for.

i have to agree. I have the feeling that I will be accepted. Although I tell everyone that its difficult for anyone to get in, I feel as though I am only waiting for 12/15 for the acceptance...

I'm getting the same feeling as well. My scores, my grades, and my ECs are all above the average acceptee from my school...

I'm getting good vibes too...good luck to all!

The thing you've got to remember about Harvard is that they reject great kids with 2400's. You may be amazing, but so are most of the kids who apply. I think you should prepare for the worst because anybody who thinks they are going to get in is setting themself up for a huge disappointment.

With that being said it would be AMAZING! if we all got in.

I'm a pessimist by nature and see deferral in my future.

Same here, neutralnuke.
But since I'm RD, I see a rejection in the future instead.
