Do you HAVE to have a Business degree to work in Business

What can someone major in if they want to break into Business but not major in it for undergrad? Is it possible upon graduation to get a job in Business with a Corporate Communication degree? PR? Economics?

No you don’t and yes you can but I just want to point out that Economics is very close to business. It’s basically a theoretical approach to business. There are even some hybrid degrees like Business Economics, Economics and Accounting, Managerial Economics, Management Science etc.

What type of job? Sales and marketing are the easiest areas to get into without a specific degree in business.

For “type of job”, I think most of my interests lie in management & strategy consulting and business development.

You could get an undergrad in non-business but you would need an MBA to eventually work in those areas.

So a communication degree would not hinder my ability to work for a management consulting firm out of undegrad?
