Do you have to wait for scores to be released before "sending" them?

Because I was just on Collegeboard and chose to send "all scores". However, in the email they sent me afterward, they said only my SAT scores would be sent (SAT II scores come out October 28). I thought it would automatically send the SAT II scores when they came out too - is this not true? Is it okay to send the scores the day they came out when applying ED?

If you merely went in and asked to send all scores now, the Oct score would not be included because there is no score yet. You need to order that score sent as part of your registration for that test (such as one of your free sends) or after they come out. ED/EA colleges accept October scores and with a few exceptions take them if you order them sent as soon as they come out (two exceptions are UIUC and Mich which say that you must designate it to receive test automatically as part of registration for test rather than waiting to order it until after score is released to assure receipt in time for EA consideration).

Thanks, drusba. That’s so annoying! Why wouldn’t they tell you that… Anyway, should I be good for ED having sent SAT scores today and just sending SAT IIs on the 28th? (This is for UPenn btw.)

bumpppppppp?

PMing you.

You are fine for Penn. Penn actually takes through Nov test scores for ED.

Thanks prjiki and drusba, I am thoroughly relieved now.
