I don't judge people who drink unless they are fools who get crazy drunk just to look 'cool'.

just curious, how do you tell the difference between someone who gets drunk because they want to look cool and someone who gets drunk for any other reason?

well its usually obvious but that maybe because of the people i have seen-
maybe cool wasn't the right word- more of drinking to show you are drunk or something like that.

like this dumb girl who got dumped and then started drinking.- then started crying(she was literally shouting) for her x-boyfriend in the club- probably she wasn't that drunk cause who gets that big a high after 3 vodka's?- then her friends had to call him and she left the club in his arms to end up in his bed and then get dumped again................

The kids who want to look cool usually work extra hard to slip alcohol past their parents and let people know about it. Somehow it makes them big boys. And they're usually quick to brag about their over-21 buddies if anyone else expresses an interest to buy alcohol. They brag about being wasted to peers. Peers, not friends. Within a group of friends you've got nothing to prove so the stories just end up funny.

Haha...wow...this thread is hilarious because 80% of CC'ers have never been to a party, so they all just speculate about "those kids that drink/do drugs."

I judge people who drink for the sake of getting drunk. If you drink and you're underage, but you're drinking for the taste, I'm okay with it. Otherwise, you're just making yourself look like an idiot, and that's sad.

I do judge because they aren't even bothering to hide it. Like some sophomores come to class stoned and they take pictures of themselves drinking beer and post it on facebook. I think it's all rather stupid, especially when they ruin the school experience for us all. Like for example these freshman actually spiked the drinks during one of the dances, and there are some people who just smoke and it's like a block away from school. They are setting a bad image for a school that works really hard to have a positive image.

Lol no one drinks for the taste! Especially the stuff that gets you the most s***faced.

I judge when girls smoke in the bathrooms at school and I have to deal with my clothes smelling like smoke all day. This is unrelated to drug use, but: I particularly judge when aforementioned smokers write on the stalls AND use poor grammer. Strike 3, girls.

I miss the connection between "having fun" and drinking **** (R Kelly anyone?).

Besides, nothing is more fun than leaving school early with a few friends to hit up BK. Except watching NFL/college football, but that's in a different league.

I would judge them based on stupidity, really. I guess they're the ones practically begging to get caught and whining about it afterwards.

It bothers me when people only wanna talk about "OMG I WAS SO F'ED UP LAST WEEKEND!!!!1!!1", but its cool if someone wants to go have a couple beers on a friday night

This may sound unrelated, but after I read Sophie's Choice I found I was done with judging. I mean, I still do it, unconsciously occasionally, but quite often I just find myself unable to judge people for their actions anymore. It's quite tragic.
