I once called someone on here, we were living near each other at the time. I joked that we should meet, and never heard from that person again, LOL...not even online! :D

InquilineKea, which college do you go to? Did you do like a simons rock type program?

uhh, it has usamo qualifiers, rhodes scholars, goldwater finalists, etc (people smarter than I am)

only a very small number of people go to top colleges. MANY of the smartest people only go to state universities and community colleges.

I went early because getting out of high school 2 years early had more promising immediate consequences than staying in that place for 2 years (I couldn't stand looking at my schedule for the next year).

here's a good question: would you leave high school for UMN 2 years early if you could do so? (and if you were directly prohibited from taking classes there, or dropping out of HS to self-study?)

as for the prog, mj93:
http://www.earlyentrance.org/uwa?DokuWiki=b1eb8b0a5a8779627858d92553814949

IK, i AM going to spend 11th and 12 at the U of MN. It's called dual-enrollment :)

early entrance is a good thing, though. omg you should transfer to caltech!

yeah, the uw is an excellent school.

and when you do the early entrance thing, you automatically get into the honors program, right?

haha lol, its transfer admission rates are extremely low (for CCs it's 10%, 4-years 5%). this shows that CCs have very smart students who previously went unrecognized

If you do EEP/Transition School, no (but a lot of people in there do get into Honors)
If you do Academy, yes.

But I actually quit the Honors program (long story, the Honors program has its own graduating requirements - the "honors core" - and none of the classes in the "honors core" looked interesting (also I have so much ap credit) so I need to take fewer courses to satisfy the graduating requirements through the normal system).

But You Would So Get Into Caltech! seriously!

==

speaking of the thread title, I don't know what is happening to CT. is he responsive to anyone?

i still think you will get in.

pming you about CT

what happened to CT?

Yes, what happened to him?

yeah, what happened?
