I want to do Law (which is offered as an undergraduate degree where I'm from) but I have a passion for Literature and English. I was wondering if I could do an undergrad in Law then a Masters in English?

Does it happen? Is it possible?

In order to be a lawyer, you need to go to Law School for post-grad, so I would major in English as an undergrad and then go to Law School.

The general answer to the question is no, your bachelor’s and graduate degrees do not have to be in the same, or even related, fields. You will need to be able to demonstrate competency and interest in the second field, though.

In the UK, you can do a law degree as an undergraduate degree. And I do want to be a Lawyer, but I want to do English. You can’t major and minor here.

If you want to be a lawyer in the US, you will have to go through three years of professional graduate study in law. There is no undergraduate law major at American universities.
