Just in case it might push you over the borderline?

It probably wouldn't do much.

Lol. What about awards? I got Columbia Scholastic Press Association Golden Crown award (some national thing, I think) and placed 2nd place in newspaper layout in a regional Orange County Journalism Education Association competition. They're a bit major, I guess, but 1) is it worth the effort to contact all 19 of my colleges, 2) will it be in time, seeing how admission decisions come out of a few weeks?

You can send the award update via e-mail.

I would send them an update! Now they are making their final decisions and it will help your name stand out from the rest of the crowd a bit so if you are on the line it could make a difference. They migth take it as a sign that you are really interested in attending their school which is always a good thing!

If you think you're borderline, or you know you're borderlined (if you were defered) I say it couldn't hurt and it shows that you're interested and really do want to attend that school.

If you are waitlisted, it definitely helps.

You have nothing to lose by letting colleges know of any updates such as honors, awards, new jobs, etc.
