do you think i will get into NYU

<p>I decided to apply to NYU Stern for ED, and I was wondering what my chances are for getting in. I will be a senior this year.</p>

<p>My weighted GPA is 3.97 and my unweighted is around 3.6. My class rank is 20 out of 750. I've take AP World History and AP Physics B and got high a's in both, and i'm taking AP Language, AP Calc BC, and AP Physics C this year. All the rest of my classes have been gifted/honors. I also got a 5 on the AP physics exam.</p>

<p>On the SAT I got 740 math, 690 writing, and 580 verbal, but I'm taking it again. On the SAT II Physics i got a 790, and I'm taking the SAT II Math 2. I still haven't taken the ACT, though.</p>

<p>I've been in orchestra for 4 years and I've taken 3 years of Spanish.
I'm in Mu Alpha Theta (Math NHS) and Math Team.</p>

<p>I don't have many volunteer hours for the school, but I tutor for free in math around 30 hours a year and I go to Nicaragua every summer for mission work. I also have 3 jobs. </p>

<p>I go to high school in atlanta, and my school actually won the governor's cup last year for the best school in the state.</p>

<p>do you think ill get in for ED if i write decent esssays and get good teacher recs?</p>

<p>thanks. are you guys pretty familiar with stern? it seems like a pretty difficult school to get into by what everyone says, but i'm not sure what their "standards" are when they say its really hard to get into</p>

<p>SAT is too low along with GPA. ECs are a little weak. You may want to reconsider NYU as your ED choice.</p>

<p>sorry, my unweighted is actually 3.94. I just guessed before, but ive only gotten 1 b, so i calculated it and it 3.94. Is that better? Also, I'm taking the SAT again and I'm aiming for a 1400. Would that be more like what they're looking for?</p>

<p>the 3.94 unweighted is better. seeing the 3.6 i thought u wouldn't get in. Stern is a great biz school. you'll get in. chance me as well. </p>
