do you think we'll hear the 28th or the 31st

@Drillkid I’m pretty sure the decisions are already made. It’s just a matter of them releasing them. So I’m sure there won’t be any delays.

I’m dying too. I applied for engineering I’ve gotten into Penn state Rutgers Pitt conn and umass. I have a 1350 / 1600 so I have the scores with great ec too. It’s my number one. No shot I can focus on my mid term tomorrow.

How are they notifying applicants?

I heard email

Okay thank you!

Well this is great. I thought they said they would be sending out decisions in March.

Not only was UMD closed today due to snow a large percentage of campus has no power. Backup generators are keeping the dorms running, but no one knows if every building has a back up generator.

Gracious, looks like the curse of the UMD “snowmageddon” decision days lives on! I notice a lot of these big state schools seem to be on auto pilot, releasing decisions at a precise time, usually when the offices would be empty…1am. In the case of Penn State, the computer accidentally released decisions weeks before they were programmed to. Let’s hope “Neither rain, nor snow, nor dark of night…will delay announcement of College Park delight…” Best of Luck CC comrades!

Snowmaggedon was in Feb last year I thought. Let’s hope it comes soon. I’m bugging out

my bro lives in knox towers right off campus and his power came back on around 11am…im assuming the majority of campus has power back by now

Come on admission building haha

well thats just great
LOL for the sake of my sanity and many others im praying they are released this weekend. i don’t even want to wait until monday
i think we’ve waiting long enough being that we applied all the way back in november and its basically february

The UCs in California dont notify until the last week of March…so University of Maryland decisions seem early to me

Duby’s right-snowmageddon started first week of Feb, College Park seemed to be the wacky epicenter of the weather. Ironic to think that UMCP had a harsher winter of 2010 than was experienced in Madison, Burlington or Boulder

Well UC schools such as UCLA and Berkeley have to review over twice as many applicants. UMD also moved up the deadline from 12/1 to 11/1 last year to make sure they have enough time to make all the decisions. I’m glad that they tell us so early compared to all the other schools I applied to ;]

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure UMD’s deadline has been Nov 1 for at least the last several years.

Just since last year. It was Dec. 1 for my brother who is two years older than me.

By last year I mean the previous class before us (Class of 2010)

@cammac, yes all the dorms are back on. But no one I know has been in any other building to see if they are. The dorms plus commons, courtyards and I guess knox all have back up generators. The town of cp probably won’t get power until sometime tomorrow night.

EDIT: Just got a text from a friend. There is still no power at the view.

Good luck to everyone. Let’s hope for our sanity it cones out tomorrow

Doesn’t look too promising for today…I’m betting Monday the 31st at this point.
