Do you time your tests?

When you see that you get 2300's on practice tests and such, did you time them?

Right now, where it stands, do you time your practice tests?

Can you give me the difference between your timed/untimed test scores?

1890=untimed for me
no timed yet

Why wouldn’t you time them?

Untimed = 2220
Timed (Actual March) = 1990

I used to extra time to relax and check over my answers :D

There is no point in taking a practice test if you’re not going to time it. The score you get will give no indication of what you can get on the actual test.

I think you should not only time it, but also take it on a Saturday morning. Make it as much like actual testing conditions as possible. (Well, you probably don’t have to go so far as getting a Spanish teacher from your school to walk around your dining room, making sure you’re not cheating and telling you when there are ten minutes left, but you get the idea.)

I actually do better when I time. For some reason, untimed makes me lazier and not want to go back and check my work.

I usually finish the sections with plenty of time to spare when I time, so I know exactly how long and how much I need to go back and check.

For comparison, I took my first practice SAT untimed and got a 2080, and then I took a second one timed and got a range 2250 - 2370

I already finish sections with 5-7 minutes for the 24 minute sections, so no.

Yes, I timed both of them.

I didn’t do entire practice tests - I only did practice sections, and mostly for the section I needed the most work on (math). I would do the section as fast as I could, then go back and check my answers with the answer key and read explanations to ones I got wrong. This worked brilliantly for me and I finished my last test with a 2260.

Untimed: 1760s
Timed: 2000s

WHAT THE CRAP?
