<p>If the application deadline was November 1st but you won't find out if you get in until February 1st for example but retake the SAT and send the scores in December, will they look at those scores and reconsider your application if they have already made a decision?</p>
<p>Usually the deadline for test scores is after the application deadline so just check with the college. For instance some colleges require the application to be due by December 1 but accept test scores up to December 31. </p>
<p>Most Nov 1 deadlines are for EA or ED, with responses coming back in mid to late December. In that case, you would likely be too late. You can ask the admissions office how late they will accept and consider scores for whatever application group (ED, EA, RD) you are applying for.</p>
