do yout think the admssion officers will give me an excuse?

This might be a bit long,I apologize.

These are the schools that I'm probably going to apply:Cornell,JHU,NYU,U of Virginia,Georgetown, etc.

My GPA is approxmately 3.8 UW.
I took the easiest courseload when I was a freshman .two science/math honors classes when i was a sophomore.and ALL AP+Honors in my junior yr.(except for Eng)
And I am going to take the most challenging courseload when i become a senior.

My school ranks the students based on the Weighted GPA.However, due to the fact that i did not take as many weighted classes as some other top students did,my class rank isn't very good.------> 110/939 (not including my latest GPA,which is the highest i've ever had)

Do you think the colleges are going to give me an excuse due to this situation?(what I'm worried about is my class rank)

PS:-I was NOT allowed to take weighted courses when i was a freshman for some reason.
-Some students in my school are REQUIRED/FORCED to take more weighted classes becuase they are in a special program @ my school. However,I am not in that special program.

First of all, being number 110 out of 939 puts you in the top 11% of your class, so I wouldn’t worry too much in the first place.

But second of all, colleges consider class rank to put your GPA in context. They want to see what grades are worth at your school (and check for signs of grade inflation). You are in the top 11% and you have near-perfect grades, as your 3.8 unweighted GPA indicates. I don’t think you have anything to worry about, really.

A lot of high schools don’t permit their freshman to take heavy coursework until they have already proven themselves and worked their way into the higher honors courses. At my school, you couldn’t take an AP class until junior year, and then the amount that you could take was limited unless you had special permission. (Only one student in my year had special permission – he was a math whiz and took calculus AB in his junior year, instead of his senior year like all of us, and was taking BC in his senior year.) Colleges know and understand this, and your counselor will likely explain it in her school report. Relax.

I have to agree with juillet, I would also include some information about the reason why you weren’t able to take honors courses freshman year in the additional information section or have your counselor include some explanation in his/her rec.
