Dodge College- PR major essay question

So I'm applying to the public relations/advertising major at chapman and I have finished my essay. We were supposed to write about a Public relations campaign we found particularly effective. I chose to write about a man from the 1700s named Charles Townsend, who introduced crop rotation in england and stopped the 10 year famine. I was wondering if this is too outdated to talk about. It really is a wonderful essay about one of the first PR campaigns, and its definitely a unique topic. I'm very proud of it, but im curious if they are looking for something like that...
the prompt literally only said "A PR campaign you find effective" so yea...help please!

any input would be really helpful.

I think using an older example can work if you draw relevant comparisons between the methods used then and how they might relate to modern PR campaigns. In other words, don’t use an example from a bygone era unless there is a central point better made in doing that. If your essay would be the same using a modern example, then why use the older one? There needs to be a hook, or a catch in it.

That sounds good. If your proud of it, then keep it!
