Does a bad meeting with an admissions counselor hurt my chance of acceptance?

I know the bulk of USC decisions won’t be out for a few more months, but I keep having these worries. I met with an admissions counselor in September (not an interview) and I was so nervous that I basically came across as an idiot with no knowledge of USC, and I could tell that she didn’t really take me seriously because of it. I sent a thank you note afterwards, but I’m worried that the entire meeting was just a bad decision. She’s the one who’ll be reviewing my application, do you think I hurt my chances??

Adcoms know 17 year olds can be nervous in such situations. As long as you were not obnoxious there won’t be any effect on your application.

How do you define “obnoxious” in this context?

I think if you displaced extensive knowledge of USC in your essay it might undo the damage of a lousy interview.

You didn’t slap the interviewer did you? Cause that would not be an asset to your application.

Obnoxious would be coming across as entitled to admission, acting like USC is your safety school etc.

My essays were pretty good except for the fact that I had a minor typo in two of my USC essays and my main common app. USC is my first choice but I was so nervous through the whole process that I made it the worst application :

@TomSrOfBoston and god no, thankfully. If nothing else I probably sounded a little naive. She asked if I travelled a lot and I told her I’d never been off the east coast, among other things.
