D started college in the fall and is still getting recruiting mail from about a dozen colleges...............add to that the credit card applications and our mailbox is always full. We have considered packing up all mail and sending to D back east, since she likes having mail in her school mailbox. ;)

Just when I thought the schools and the Army were bad, we received a couple of brochures about PSAT and SAT prep classes (it's more than a little late for that for my D -- but maybe they think we have others). And then we received toy catalogues and clothing catalogues for the under eight set. Maybe they are all just getting a jump on the grandparent thing?

My daughter is a senior, but is still receiving mail for colleges/universities. The most persistent is the local junior college. She must receive something every other month.

My father, who died in 1997 was regestered to vote for this past election.

My son has never once expressed any interest in the University of Dayton. Regardless, they sent him literature almost daily -- sometimes more than one thing per day. Once he got a letter that thanked him for inquiring about their Early Childhood Ed program! (I don't think so...) And if you're wondering, we have an EXTREMELY unique last name, so they don't have him mixed up with someone else. (My father-in-law did a web search, we are related to every single person in the USA who shares our last name).

Slightly off topic... after giving birth to my son 17 years ago I received information offering me membership in the AARP! I was 26 years old at the time!

University of Evansville - never requested info - but it just keeps on coming. Almost every day for the last 4 months.... All those trees!!!! :(
