<p>My kid never answered a post card and got in EA. I suspect that high test scores and great essays make a much bigger difference…</p>
<p>Since it takes very little time, I would do it. I answered all of them and I got in EA this year. It probably helps, but not by a lot. However, it is probably one of the easiest ways to demonstrate interest in the school. They were also a lot of fun to answer. Do it, you’re right: “it doesn’t hurt to answer them” !</p>
<p>They have said at various points over the years that they read all the postcard responses but don’t keep a record of them or take them into account in the admissions process. But that was some time ago; maybe it has changed. </p>
<p>Just answer them if you’re keen on the U of C.</p>
