Does anybody else have an AP teacher that you know more than?

I dno if that made sense. But anyways. My AP World teacher is just STUPID in World history. I correct her everyday before class. I've been teaching the class about ancient religion because she didn't know anything about them. She said that Confusious created the ying-yang symbol, pagan religions no longer exist, she didn't know what Buddha meant. Just SIMPLE things anybody should know if that's what you teach. At least enough to not give us wrong information. And then when I try to correct her (for the benefit of the note takers) she like declares war on me. I even have to go in everyday and correct her powerpoints. If I was rude or something when I told her, I would understand but I wasn't and teachers like that just make me mad!!

She's hated me since day one though because I walked in and she looked me dead in the eye and said "ISS is across the hall. Are you in the right room?" because I am gothic and dress in all black. Mind you, I've never had detention, suspension, referrals, or even tardies. I am in 3 ap classes and the rest honors. I explained this and she didn't apologize or anything which didn't bother me. But it was like I was below her because of how I dressed.
Oh and on the first day she told us VERY WRONG info on the ap tests. She told us we didn't get our results until October. That we were only allowed to take the test ONCE (not per year, TOTAL). And other stuff I can't remember.

Needed to rant.
Any of you guys have AP teachers THAT clueless or discriminatory?

Keep correcting her; I totally would. She sounds like a *****, so treat her like one.

But, I don't want to come off as like a snobby know-it-all. But I just feel bad for the people who aren't going to know what they need to for the AP test.

Just because she is clueless teacher doesn't mean you have to demean her. Honestly, just don't instigate her!

^^^^ Are you kidding me?
Clearly, the teacher was quite demeaning to her to begin with.

Can you drop her class and just self-study? It sounds like a waste of time being there.

My AP Physics has no idea what he's doing. He's a CHEM major that decided for whatever reason to teach AP Physics (and not AP Chem..). So he doesn't know ANYTHING and we're basically teaching HIM and OURSELVES the class. It's kinda hard for me since it's my first Physics class too =[

Yeah my AP Bio teacher just showed movies all day and changed the subject when we asked him questions related to Biology.

Yay! I'm not alone.

Nope. May APUSH teacher may be the most intelligent teacher I've ever had. For Statistics, my teacher is pretty smart (obviously a lot smarter than me). On the other hand, my Honors Biology teacher (whom you didn't seem to like) obviously knew a lot more than me but he seemed to make a lot of mistakes.

Do you have the Canton honors bio teacher or Salem's? If you had Mr. G, I loved him. He just kinda sucked at teaching. It was a fun class though, and I did learn alot. But I didn't like the plants unit. And if you do have Mr. G, he just contradicts himself alot and doesn't usually answer your questions.

I had Mr. G too. He was awesome! I actually thought he was a pretty good teacher, with all his weird mnemonic devices and analogies. I don't think anybody liked the plants unit, though.

Lol that's true. I'm taking stats I think next year. Is there only one teacher?

Two; Guinta and some other person. The other person's a somewhat harder teacher, and Guinta's cooler, but I wouldn't mind having gotten either. Guinta's class is fairly hard, too, especially in the first unit.

LOL! my AP Physics teacher taught us how to use scientific calculators and protractors yesterday....wow.

just. wow.

lol @ scientific calculators.

All the AP teachers I've had are well-educated and know their stuff, even if one of them wasn't the best of teachers.

And lol @ the protractors.

my APUSH teacher tried to tell us that Marie Antionette was the third wife of Henry VIII.

Wow. That's just pathetic.

Sounds like my 8th grade history teacher. I hate how some teachers sprout nonsense while having the attitude of a wrestler on drugs.

Just keep correcting her, show disinterest, and don't talk to her unless you have to. Then you show her up by next year with a 5 on the test.
