Does anybody know when the dorms starts filling up?

A&I to be specific

I want to get my Financial aid award letter before I SIR, and I can't reserve dorm if I don't SIR

This is what the Financial Aid says for me

Note: Any required documents above that are incomplete and/or unsigned will not be accepted and this will cause a delay in processing your application.

It is important to always put your own name and nine-digit UCR Student ID number on all forms that you submit to the Financial Aid Office.

Received documents:
FAFSA Application
Your financial aid application is considered complete. No further documents are required at this time. You will be notified if the Financial Aid Office needs any additional documentation at a later date as a result of reviewing your application or any corrections you make to your application.

Awards for admitted new students with complete applications will be generated beginning in late March. You will be sent notification that your award is available to accept or decline on GROWL shortly.

You’re guaranteed a dorm room if you fill out the contract/submit the first payment by May 10th. Usually it isn’t a huge issue getting A&I. I think more people have an issue with getting a triple room instead of a double room.

Even if you end up getting a dorm you don’t want, you can always place yourself on the waiting list for A&I. A lot of people end up not going to school or not living on campus. I remember during my freshman year some kid in my building showed up on move-in day and never came back after that.

ah, i meant a triple. would it still be guaranteed by May 10th?

Anyone know approximately when those financial awards become official?

I saw the prelim figures in my portal but wasn’t sure when they show you what the actual amounts will be.

Thanks.

Start another thread man.
I also would like to know the same thing
