I was just wondering, cause I always seem to cross the time limit in CR sections. I just want to know, do any of you guys do the passage q's first?

I had some serious time problems regarding CR… I found out, that in the CR section that has sentence completition+2small passages+1bigger passage+1 even bigger passage (this section is the biggest and toughest, where I used to have the most problem), you have to do the following to finish in time:

1)do sentece completition first as fast as you can
2)go to the two passages, read them, make sure you understand them and THEN answer their questions
3)then go to the first big passage and DONOT read it, Simple read each question and find and read only the lines in the passage related to the question. (You do this, because the 1st big passage, doesnt have general questions about the passage…you dont have to understand it completely)
4)then go to the biggest passage and before you start reading, underline the all the lines related to questions, then start reading from the beginning and answer questions when you find the lines you underlined.

But, that’s just me. Try to find works best for you

No. I like to end my sections on a high note. :P

I hate the kind of sections that metaxa13 is talking about. I never have enough time on that

Thanks for the advise guys or girls!!!

I do sentence completions first.
Those are the easiest and I start out the section with confidence, hopefully setting a tone for the rest of the passage.

I have a friend who does this. She took the SAT yesterday with me. Not that it’s too relevant, but for the record, she found the CR section very easy. I always score between 700-800 and I found it relatively challenging.
It seems to work well for her. I understand she has problems concentrating, too, and this might be in response to that problem. Perhaps because by the end of the section your brain is tired, it helps to have the long passage first.
