This is a thread about the Forbes college rankings, not Kalamazoo vs Michigan. Take it somewhere else… I think most people are sick of arguing about college a vs. college b.

Yes, I do agree UofM has better resources. Many of K’s facilities are in need of modernization.

Perhaps its programs are thought inferior. Still, it produces more PhDs, per capita, than many of the highest ranking schools…and many K students attain their graduate level degrees from these highest ranked institutions.

Honestly, can we stop debating about this. You can’t compare these two school ok. One has a lot of recruited athletes one doesn’t. None of you have learned 4 years at both institutions and so if you want to debate, take it somewhere else.
And if you think K is better then why are you transferring to UM? I mean it doesn’t makes sense to debate against a school you want to transfer to.
So stop debating.

The only one saying Kalamazoo is better than Umich is bbkitty, who is a parent of a student at Kalamazoo. Svelte is just saying Kalamazoo is also a good school.

I thought Svelte was at K. Because he/she said this: “BTW, I’m considering transferring to UM too! K is no joke.” His previous posts suggest that too.

He may be there but nothing he said indicates that he thinks Kalamazoo is better than UMich, just that he also thinks Kalamazoo is a good college which is often times underrated. He also claims that Kalamazoo’s programs are “thought inferior” to Michigan.

True I agree with you on that.
