Freshman year, all your teachers are like "Oh, don't worry about college, you still have plenty of time!"
Sophomore year, same thing.
Then, all of a sudden Junior Year: "have you taken the SAT yet? Have you narrowed your list down to 10 colleges? Have you..." the list goes on.

Did this happen to anyone else or just me?

I was already prepared by junior year just because I'm self-motivated like that, but some of my friends had panic attacks. (Seriously, one of them ended up in the hospital).

Not at my school...
Heh. We even took a p-psat in 9th grade.
It's not crazy pressure though. More of a "make sure you don't destroy your gpa because of being an idiot freshman year."

I don't really have any forcefulness on me. I'm just taking some stress on myself. I know what I ahve to do in order to accomplish my goals and dreams. To do that, I'm going to have to work my butt off, but I know in the end it'll be worth it, so I'll try.

I was very lax and lazy about everything my freshman year. Some teachers said not to worry about college. Other teachers said that if we failed one test, we'd end up in a CC.

I haven't entered my sophomore year yet (I will in about two weeks), but towards the end of last year, I came to a realization that college application deadlines were approaching faster than I thought they were, and if I didn't straighten myself out, I would be going to community college.

So, we'll see what teachers say about college this year. But I won't be so calm during my sophomore year.

I feel like I did nothing freshman year. I feel so lucky to have this upcoming sophomore year to change myself. That's the good thing about educating yourself early, it's still early enough to change.

lol yeah thats how it was at my school
i mean they kinda floated it around there freshman year. "u should start thinking about the PSATs"
then junior year rolls around and theyre like "y havent u taken the SATs????"

and wow thats pretty shocking about ur friend going to the hospital over that :(
