Does being a TA look bad on your transcript?

Hi! I am going to be a senior tomorrow and right now my schedule is the following:
Student aide for chem, AP Biology, AP Political Science, AP English Literature, AP Computer Science, and AP Art History. I am also taking Linear Algebra and Calc based physics at a community college. Also, I have a computer science internship lined up but have not figured out the scheduling yet.

I have been thinking about dropping AP Art History completely using that period to be another student aide but for AP Lang. I love both of the teachers I would aide for and will probably ask them for letters of recommendation. But will it look bad on my transcript to only have 4 AP classes senior year and 2 periods as a teachers aide?

Last year I took too many courses that were also too rigorous and did not do well so I wanted to have a less stressful senior year. I would use any free time I had as a student aide to work on homework and do college apps.

Thank you!

Tldr; Will it look bad to take 4 AP classes and 2 periods of student aide senior year?

I don’t think it would look bad. Being a teacher’s aide shows that teachers like you, trust you and that you’re of a higher maturity in order to be a TA.
My one question is, if you’re worried about rigor, how many APs are normal for seniors at your school?

My daughter was a TA for AP Lang as a senior. She had exhausted her options for AP classes that would fit in her schedule and wanted to TA for this teacher. Her counselor was supportive and even encouraged this plan. She learned a ton by reading and making comments on student writing for the grade below hers (the teacher would review the comments and add her own, and did all the actual grading). It was a great experience and absolutely did not hurt her in admissions.
