Does CMC feel like a big school when combined with the other Claremont schools?

I know all of the 5cs are very small on their own. CMC would be a perfect fit for myself besides the fact that it’s so small. Since it’s in such close proximity to Pomona, Pitzer, etc, does it feel like CMC is bigger than the 1,300 student population?

Absolutely. It’s modeled off the Oxford system where you’re in a large university like complex but hosted primarily in your own school (for Oxford, their residential college). That said, there are many opportunities to interact with the other schools. Events tend to be 5C in nature, you have access to all 7 dining halls, there are 300+ clubs and organizations at the 5 Colleges, etc. CMC is also at the center of the 5 colleges, so it gets the most traffic.

Agreed. My D is a Pomona student. Last semester she took at philosophy class at CMC and this semester she is taking a literature class at CMC. As nostalgicwisdom said, CMC is in the center of the 5C campuses so it gets lots of traffic.
