Does Computer Science or Computer Engineer have a better job/pay/availability?

Which major has a better pay and job availability overall? From my basic research, I've been getting Computer Science... which is odd, because isn't CE a combination of both Electrical AND CS? Which means it should be harder and more tedious? Therefore, more employable, etc.etc?

Also, would electrical engineering beat either one of them? ^^^^^^^

A combination doesn’t always mean better. It may very well mean you can do two jobs adequately, while both a pure CS and EE major’s knowledge/ability may be superior to you in their respective fields. I wouldn’t say CE is harder, but rather a wider scope than CS or EE alone. I am sure it has its benefits, and there are jobs where CE is the best fitting degree, but pure CS and EE probably have more demand and thus more pay comparatively.

Really, all three are very comparable and employable. I think the question should be “What exactly do you want to do?” not “Which makes the most?” when picking between these choices.

ECE’s are systems engineers where I work, which means, more travel, more customer interaction, more free food… Us CS people do the code and get fed once in a while

Your lifetime salary is more dependent on what you do over the course of your career than which of these majors you pick. Pick whichever one you like better. EECS is a spectrum between pure EE, CE and CS. There is a lot of overlap.
