Does Cornell require SAT Subject Tests?

On its website it says that if you want to major in CS, you can either apply to College of Engineering or College of Arts and Science. The CS courses are the same in both schools.

However, in the admission requirements table it shows that College of Arts and Science require "2 SAT Subject Tests" but College of Engineering requires "1 Math and 1 Science SAT Subject Tests".

So if I apply to the Arts and Science college, does it mean I can get away with any SAT Subject tests (like US History)?

As far as I know, you’re exactly correct. Just FYI, Cornell’s engineering program is extremely highly regarded so even if you have not yet taken Math II or Chem/Bio, you should consider taking them if you think you can succeed in them (with preparation of course). Also remember that the majority of applicants to Cornell apply to Arts and Sciences so that college is very competitive, but then again so is engineering. Hope this helps!
