Does Dartmouth Really Know You?

I don't think the peer rec has too much of an effect on admission--except in rare cases. I heard someone say they knew somebody whose peer rec talked about how arrogant, rude, unfriendly, etc. this person was, and they were rejected. But aside from cases like this, I think it only seals the deal on an otherwise stellar app.

Just my $0.01 compunded continuously at 6.93147% yearly for 10 years ;)

heh...i read in A is for Admission about some kid who was really awful and arrogant and cheated on everything...and his peer rec said all this and was like "so arrogant that he doesn't even realize when his 'friends' actually hate him, which is obvious from this peer rec." they called the GC, who admitted they knew about the cheating...the adcom was like, "I never forgot which school that was." Sucks for all the deserving people from that school!

the 5 words killed me, that was mondo hard...i actually, yes, wrote the word 'supafly' down...i hope that they will take that as a quirk and not a detriment, ha...

i sent an extra essay to them...they told me i could, so i did.

Hmmm I think I put like outgoing, balanced, focused, and 2 others that I can't remember. Maybe curious? I dunno.
