Does GATech has second choice of major?

Hello guys
I applied to AerospaceE for RD. However on the common app, it doesn’t explicitly says “second choice of major” but lets you choose other area of interest, so I chose MechE. I have 2200 on SAT and think that it is low for AerospaceE, considering its rank, but since I have already submitted my application already, I can’t make any changes. So if I get rejected to AerospaceE, do they still consider me as MechE?

I’m pretty sure they don’t consider major when deciding whether to accept you or not…and 2200 is not low. You have a good chance. Good luck!

Admissions says in every presentation they do not consider major in evaluating application. If you get accepted and choose to attend you can change your major any time prior to actual class registration. Most students at GT do change majors.
