Do they verify info before or after acceptance? And what do they check for? Was wondering if anyone has any experience w qc audits
The places I’ve heard of that allow you to self-report scores also verify. Not sure why you’re asking this question? I think the chances are excellent if you submit false scores you’ll be caught
Is this referring to your question about whether Brown requires official AIME reports because you may have overinflated your scores? If you wait until colleges catch you to correct errors they may be less likely to view them as an accidental oversight.
Bellow please find my response to a similar thread you posted on January 1st. By continuing to ask the question and not taking actions it appears you are deliberately submitting false scores. You will get caught (at least I hope so)!
"CCTA334- you titled the thread “Does Brown require official AIME score reports”. That seems to ask will I get caught as opposed to how do I fix it.
“I may have reported my score above what it is, because I don’t know what my official score is”. Once again dubious wording. Wouldn’t you be concerned that you had under reported it? Sounds like you know it’s over reported.
So you know the answer to is there any discrepancy? In terms of what should you do, I think you know the answer to that as well, and if not yes you will likely get caught.
Do you really want a last minute surprise…"
It clearly is eating at you given your repetitive need to ask the question. School’s frequently confirm test scores because some people aren’t honorable. At this point you deserve what you get.
Ok i emailed them jeez it was a complete accident i literally reported 1 point above what i got on complete accident. ^
“jeez it was a complete accident”. This was perhaps accurate a month ago… not with a month of inaction and full awareness.
“literally reported 1 point above what i got”. Integrity is not based on the extent of the lie. May have been an accident but I am highly confident you would have corrected it a month ago if you had under reported. Consequently waiting this long was no accident. Own your behavior you are entering the adult world.
Shouldn’t get “snippy” with people suggesting you display integrity. At some point in life you may have to do the right thing in the absence of others reminding you to do the right thing.
You are obviously smart, be honorable For honor’s sake…not because you might get caught.
^ just wanted to say that it has not been “a month of inaction and full awareness”. I got my official score only recently and i have updated my colleges. I only “waited this long” because i was waiting for my official score.
That being said, you are right that i should not have been so rude to someone simply telling me to have integrity. I agree with you 100% and i apologize.
Original post on January 1st “Does Brown Require Official Score”…
“What im worried about is that i may have reported my score above what it actually is, because i dont know what my official score is”
Back on Jan 1st you were specifically worried about whether you had reported a score “above what it actually is” and whether Brown would check.
On January 28th “Does Georgia Tech Audit”?
I stand by a month of inaction and full awareness (or at least strong suspicion). You might not have had the official report but back on January 1st you didn’t express that your concern was that you reported incorrectly. Your concern was that you reported it to high and surprise surprise you were right. Even with full awareness that you had over reported your score, based on this thread’s title you were conflicted on what to do. Not because you didn’t know right from wrong, but based on “Does GT audit”. Meaning will I get caught.
I am thrilled you did the right thing but please own it. Did you alert the schools there might be an error while you awaited the official score… of course not.
FYI no need to apologize to me nothing personal either way. I am however treating you as other adults will, meaning you are fully accountable for your actions and we tend to be able to detect BS.
So let’s just make it a simple question. If you knew definitively that both Brown and GT didn’t audit, would you have corrected your application?
